The twin villages of Crans and Montana offer an exclusive ski holiday destination that is well suited to families.
With views of the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, the ski resorts of Crans-Montana are ideal for family ski holidays, with predominantly intermediate or beginner skiing. The extensive ski area totals around 160km of ski pistes but caters less well for the advanced skiers, although from Crans-Montana, the ski resorts of Verbier, Saas Fee and Zermatt are within reach, offering more advanced ski terrain than Crans-Montana. The nearby ski resort of Anzere is another possibility for those skiers who have exhausted the limited advanced ski terrain at Crans-Montana. Of the 2 ski resorts making up Crans-Montana, Crans is the more exclusive, with many designer shops and boutiques, whilst Montana is less chic (but still stylish) and is an ideal base for a family ski holiday. Away from the slopes of Crans-Montana there are numerous sports including golf (both winter and summer) and a casino. Après ski in Crans-Montana is refined with numerous bars, clubs and restaurants.
