The Swiss ski holiday resort of Leysin.
Located close to Lake Geneva, Leysin is little-known compared to its neighbours, including Chateau d Oex, Les Diablerets and Gstaad, the ski resorts that Leysin shares a lift pass with. Leysin also has access to the local glacier which ensures snow reliability during the start and end of the ski season. The ski area in Leysin is only mid-sized, but as the ski pistes tend to favour the beginner and intermediate, then there is ample ski terrain for this level of skier. Leysin is famous for its snowboard facilities and snowboard championships are hosted in the resort. Away from the slopes in Leysin, activities available include an indoor sports centre as well as ice skating and curling. Après ski in leysin is pretty descent with a fair number of bars and clubs. The Kuklos revolving restaurant is a famous local attraction, located on a peak above Leysin.
